Dato is a professional Filipino boxer from Santa Maria, CA.

He was born in Bangar La Union, Philippines and migrated to the United States when he was 7 years old.

Dato's boxing career started in 2010 when his coach Raul Anguiano showed John his real passion.

Since then Dato has advanced his career and expanded his reach by opening two boxing gyms– one in Santa Maria and one is San Luis Obispo.
